Northwestern University’s Pathogen Genomics Symposium will be held on Monday, April 7 in the Simpson Querrey Biomedical Research Center. The fourth annual event, hosted by the Robert J. Havey, MD Institute for Global Health’s Center for Pathogen Genomics and Microbial Evolution, includes a day of scholarly events with research talks, flash talks, keynote address, poster session, and reception.
Internal and external students, faculty, community members, and partners from all disciplines are welcome to participate and apply to present on projects relevant to pathogen genomics and microbial evolution.
Speakers include Judd Hultquist, PhD, assistant professor in the departments of Medicine (Infectious Diseases) and Microbiology-Immunology, and associate director of the Center for Pathogen Genomics and Microbial Evolution at Northwestern. He is a TC CFAR faculty member and serves as a consultant on the Virology and Immunology Technology Core.
The symposium’s keynote address, “Bug Bytes: How Malaria Parasite & Vector Data Are Being Applied in Global Health,” will be delivered by Jennifer Gardy at the Gates Foundation.
Abstract submissions are due by 5 PM on Monday, March 24, 2025.
