Karen Ingersoll, PhD, is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Professor of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Her research develops and tests counseling and technology-delivered interventions to reduce the risk of harm from alcohol and substance use, improve the health of people living with HIV, and encourage lifestyle change to promote health across the lifespan. Ingersoll is the author of over 90 peer-reviewed papers and co-author of two books.
