Acknowledge CFAR
The NIH CFAR program requires that the Third Coast CFAR grant be acknowledged in all publications, presentations, and abstracts that utilized CFAR core services or were funded in part or in full by the CFAR. The suggested acknowledgement is provided below:
This [abstract/publication/presentation] was made possible with support from the Third Coast Center for AIDS Research (CFAR), an NIH funded center (P30 AI117943).
Authors may choose to be more specific about the type of funding or core service received.
Please note: All articles published in a peer reviewed journal acknowledging CFAR support are required to comply with NIH Public Access Policy. Please review the policy and ensure that your manuscript is deposited in PubMed Central (PMC) through one of the four methods listed. The article must be assigned a PubMed Central ID (PMCID) number, which is different from a PMID number.
Submission methods to deposit a manuscript:
- Method A: Some journals automatically post NIH supported papers directly to PMC
- Method B: Authors must make special arrangements for some journals and publishers to post the paper directly to PMC
- Method C: Authors or their designee must submit manuscripts to the NIH Manuscript Submission System (NIHMS)
- Method D: Some publishers will submit manuscripts to the NIHMS
NIH/CFAR awardees are responsible for ensuring manuscripts are submitted to the NIHMS upon acceptance for publication. Delays might negatively impact submission of the Center’s Research Performance Progress Report or hold up funding for parent grant operations.
