The Third Coast Center for AIDS Research (TC CFAR) would like to acknowledge members who have recently served as reviewers for the Developmental Core (DC). Since 2020, 46 faculty and affiliate members reviewed applications for Pilot Awards, Community Collaborative Awards and other mechanisms, or participated in a mock review for TC CFAR members preparing applications to the NIH. 

“Our DC awardees have been remarkably successful,” said Brian Mustanski, PhD, director of the TC CFAR. “DC funding and services supported 46 new NIH grants since the TC CFAR’s founding, including more than 20 investigators leading their first HIV R01. A great deal of these impressive achievements is due to our members’ commitment to mentoring early stage investigators and supporting new cross-disciplinary collaborations that will end the HIV epidemic. This excellent pool of reviewers includes faculty from 14 different departments and divisions at Northwestern and UChicago, as well as practice partners at local community-based organizations.”
