Northwestern University’s Institute for Sexual and Gender Minority Health and Wellbeing (ISGMH) is seeking applicants for a Research Study Assistant on the RADAR project’s interviewing and retention/recruitment/scheduling teams. RADAR is a large ongoing NIDA funded study that is building a dynamic dyadic-network cohort of young men who have sex with men (YMSM) by hybridizing existing cohorts of YMSM (including Project Q2, Crew 450, and one other study). The goal of this project is to apply a “next generation” multilevel model to understand the syndemic of health problems among a large cohort of YMSM (age 16-29) and inform “high-impact” HIV prevention with this vulnerable population.

Job Functions:

This position performs biomedical and/or social-behavioral research by administering tests and/or questionnaires following protocols; collecting, compiling, tabulating and/or processing responses; gathering information; performing rapid HIV testing and counseling; conducting outreach to support participant recruitment efforts; regularly engaging with study participants via email, phone, text, and social media platforms; and assisting in the preparation of material for inclusion in reports.

Please note: Saturday and evening hours will be required. This position will be based off campus, at the Center on Halsted and 625 N. Michigan Ave. (Permanent Location TBD). This position is NOT remote; requires full-time in person work. In accordance with NU policy, COVID-19 vaccination required. This is a one-year term position with the opportunity for renewal based on performance and funding availability.
