Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking candidates for an Associate Director of Community Programs and Initiatives.
Job Description:
- Provides strategic, communications, and operational leadership to the community initiatives within the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine, including a current portfolio of projects in areas including substance use and prevention, gender medicine, HIV testing and prevention, mobile health, and sexual and reproductive health, education, and training.
- Plans, coordinates, communicates, and evaluates systems and processes that support the community outreach and programmatic community initiatives of Adolescent Medicine.
- Builds and maintains strong, collaborative working relationships within Lurie Children’s and with external parties.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
The ideal candidate has a combination of grant, program, and people management skills, but also has their own vision for growth in programmatic, community and/or scientific areas.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a young, dynamic, creative, and community-engaged person to lead a sizable and diverse portfolio of adolescent programs within a rapidly expanding clinical division at Lurie Children’s Hospital. There is tremendous capacity for growth and expansion. Interest in or experience with community engaged adolescent work and/or the implementation and/or dissemination of adolescent and young adult prevention programs and education would be a plus.
