On May 26, 2021, the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) will host a pre-application technical assistance webinar relating to RFA-MD-21-004, Understanding and Addressing the Impact of Structural Racism and Discrimination on Minority Health and Health Disparities. NIH staff will provide an overview of the RFA—including objectives, application instructions, and review criteria—and will be available to answer questions. Participants are encouraged to submit questions in advance to Jennifer Alvidrez (jennifer.alvidrez@nih.gov).
The initiative will support observational research to understand the role of structural racism and discrimination (SRD) in causing and sustaining health disparities, as well as intervention research that addresses SRD to improve minority health or reduce health disparities.
