The Third Coast Center for AIDS Research (TC CFAR), which is part of the Institute for Sexual and Gender Minority Health and Wellbeing (ISGMH), is featured in ISGMH’s 2022-23 Annual Report. The inaugural annual report includes an overview of the Institute’s research, events and programming, media engagement, and publications.

ISGMH’s Annual Report highlights the projects selected by the NIH as supplements to the TC CFAR. These high-impact projects address the goals of the federal Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) initiative and the NIH Office of AIDS Research priorities.

The annual report also features the TC CFAR’s HIV Research Symposium held on October 16, 2023, which had 160 attendees and more than 50 presentations. The event highlighted the work of HIV investigators based at local institutions and offered exciting networking opportunities.

Also included in the annual report is the Summer Intensive Program in Intersectional BIPOC SGM-focused HIV Science, led by ISGMH associate director Jagadīśa-devaśrī Dācus, PhD. The program is supported in part by internal TC CFAR funds.
