The University of Washington Department of Global Health announced applications for the 31st Annual Principles of STI/HIV Research and Public Health Practice Course will open in March 2023. The virtual format will provide exciting opportunities for graduate students, trainees, and early career STI/HIV researchers to engage with leading experts and peers in the fields of STI and HIV.

The course will be held July 10 – July 21, 2023 (Monday-Friday) for 2-3 hours daily and will offer cross-disciplinary training in STI and HIV research and public health practice using teaching pedagogy tailored to the virtual environment:

  • State-of-the-art training to develop strategies to End the HIV Epidemic and achieve PEPFAR priorities
  • Innovative content delivered by US and global expert faculty lecturers
  • Opportunities to build networks with faculty and student colleagues
  • Virtual field trips to global health, community-based, and public health organizations in Seattle
