Northwestern’s Claude D. Pepper Older Americans Independence Center (OAIC) is now accepting proposals from faculty members and postdoctoral fellows for pilot project awards to support aging-related research. Pepper Center Pilot Projects typically provide $100,000 over two years to support pilot research projects.
For this cycle of proposals, Northwestern’s Pepper Center is particularly interested in supporting pilot projects addressing health disparities and health equity in aging research. The Northwestern OAIC will consider disparities across all domains of the social determinants of health, including socioeconomic status, disability, and immigration status, among others.
Up to two awards will be made, with the start of funding expected around July 1, 2023. The deadline to submit applications is March 20, 2023.
