The Third Coast Center for AIDS Research (CFAR) Viral Pathogenesis Core will host its inaugural symposium Breakthroughs in HIV Research on October 22, 2021. Talks by junior and established investigators describing their novel findings in HIV/host biology will be followed by a reception and poster session showcasing the work of up-and-coming trainees.

Abstract Guidelines

Abstracts will be competitively selected. Priority will be given to postdoctoral fellows, trainees, students, and staff. Abstracts are limited to 350 words maximum and must be organized in the following four sections:

1. Background
2. Methods
3. Results
4. Conclusions

Submission and Timeline

Abstracts must be submitted via email with a Word file attached by 5:00p.m. on October 20, 2021.
