The CFAR’s Behavioral, Social, and Implementation Sciences (BSIS) Core is working with Behavior Change Consulting to offer a two-day training on Motivational Interviewing on July 11 and 12, 2019.

Goal: to provide training in Motivational Interviewing (MI) to Third Coast CFAR members and partners. MI is an evidence-based communication approach for addressing behavior change. MI provides specific communication strategies for cultural competency, autonomy support, and client/participant-centered services. MI can target different behaviors including medication adherence, sexual activity, substance use, and parenting practices.

Fee: 
The CFAR Developmental Core will sponsor all accepted trainees

Space for this in-person training is limited. Please complete the application by May 31, 2019. We suggest that investigators and staff work together to determine training needs and that applications are submitted on behalf of a project, not on behalf of individual trainees.
