The Pathogenesis and Basic Research Branch of the DAIDS Basic Sciences Program is currently searching for a Program Officer candidate to join our team. The Pathogenesis and Basic Research Branch oversees a broad portfolio of research grants and funding initiatives related to basic HIV virology, immunology, transmission, and persistence, as well as the 19 Centers for AIDS Research (CFARs), the NIH AIDS Reagent Program (ARP), and the Martin Delaney Collaboratories for HIV Cure Research (MDCs). The overall portfolio includes approximately 320 grants totaling over $270 million in funding per year.

Candidates must be US Citizens, hold a PhD in a related field, and have extensive research experience in an area aligned with the Pathogenesis and Basic Research Branch grant portfolio.
