Inger E. Burnett-Zeigler, Third Coast CFAR member, was featured in the New York Times for her work on Black women and mental health treatment.

Burnett-Zeigler, an assistant professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is interested in mood and anxiety disorders, comorbid substance use disorders, stress management, wellness and interpersonal relationships. She is has training and experience in several psychotherapy interventions. Burnett-Zeigler goals are raising awareness about the importance of self-care and providing outlets for living a healthy lifestyle for Black women.
