Dr. Brian Mustanski, Tenured Professor of Medical Social Sciences, Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, and Psychology at Northwestern University; Director of the Institute for Sexual and Gender Minority Health and Wellbeing; and Co-Director of the Third Coast Center for AIDS Research, has been chosen as one of NBC News’ #Pride30 changemakers, innovators, and rising stars.

NBC received public nominations from all over the country and several from outside U.S.  After the submission deadline in April, a committee of NBC journalists and executives reviewed the nominations and decided on the list of finalists.  Dr. Mustanski was selected by NBC from over 1,600 submissions for their inaugural #Pride30 list of 30 LGBTQ people who are making a positive difference in the community.  One profile story will be revealed each day throughout the month of June. These stories will be amplified across NBC News and MSNBC digital, broadcast, and social media platforms.
